LOCAL Hip Hop outfit, The Best Kept Series, will host the second edition of their popular show at the swanky joint 4Fordy at DLM Complex in Khubetsoana tomorrow night.
The Best Kept Series is a sequence of recorded Hip Hop shows and video interviews of local artists Qekha, L-Tore and Nuch featuring The Hitman on the decks. The aim behind the initiative is to bring attention to the aforementioned artists and their projects to fans.

“This is basically our marketing strategy whereby we explain our craft to the fans and tell them about our past and upcoming projects,” said Qekha, in an interview with the Weekender this week.
“Through this series of events, we are trying to take our music to the public and serve those people who love live music.
“We had the first show last month and it got a good response and showed us that people really like what we are doing, so we feel blessed.”
Qekha said they will be running the shows until October when they intend to release solo mixtapes.

He also said the videos are uploaded online and on social networks where people can access them free of charge. They also distribute the hard copies of the videos which are sold at a reasonable price to cover production costs.

Tomorrow’s event will be a festival of Hip Hop music which will also feature such artists as Juvenile, Chocolate Soul, Lala, Grown Folk deejays and a live band called Fusion.
