…Eulogized as beloved colleague, husband, father, son and friend
IT is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Moletsane Makhabane, Head of Production at Africa Media Holdings (AMH), who left us on Saturday at the age of 37 after a long illness.
AMH are the publishers of the Lesotho Times and Sunday Express newspapers, as well as broadcasters of Mohale FM in Maseru.
Mr Makhabane’s journey with AMH began in February 2014, when he joined as a graphic designer. His unwavering dedication, creativity, and professionalism saw him rise steadily through the ranks—from sub-editor to ultimately leading the production department, where his vision and leadership left a lasting mark.
Colleagues and friends alike admired Moletsane not only for his work ethic but also for his warmth, humility, and kindness. Many witnessed his determination and courage during his illness, as he remained hopeful and committed to his duties, even planning to report for work on the day of his passing. Tragically, he passed away while attending to his health in Maseru.
Chief Operations Officer, Muchemwa Mutaramu, expressed the sentiments of the entire AMH family.
“Ntate Makhabane was a valued member of the AMH team. He will be remembered for his dedication, kindness, and the positive impact he had on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him. His presence will be deeply missed. During this difficult time, our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and loved ones. We stand with you in mourning this profound loss. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
Mr Makhabane leaves behind a legacy of professionalism, perseverance, and humanity that will continue to inspire all who knew him. His memory will remain in the hearts of his family, colleagues, and the many lives he touched throughout his career.
Rest in peace Motaung. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
