LCS beat Lioli to maintain fine form

LCS maintained their impressive run on Sunday beating newly crowned Independence Cup winners, Lioli 1-0 at LCS Ground.

Mosiuoa Boseka scored the only goal of the match to hand Tse Nala their third loss in seven matches.

Lehlohonolo Thotanyana’s side have had a difficult start in the league despite recently winning the Independence Cup and have only three victories so far.

They are seventh on the log.

LCS on the other hand remain second and are a point behind pacesetters, Matlama.

Elsewhere on Sunday, LDF clinched their fourth win in seven matches with a 1-0 victory over LMPS at Ratjomose Barracks.

Tšepo Toloane scored the only goal of the match as the army side walked away with all the three points against the police outfit.

The victory helped LDF climb to fourth position on the table with 14 points.

Bantu and Liphakoe played-out to a 1-1 stalemate at Maputsoe DIFA Ground.

Lutuka Mokhochane put the Quthing side ahead in the early stages of the game but Hlompho Kalake equalised for A Matšo Matebele before half time.

On Saturday, Matlama maintained their unbeaten run in the league beating Majantja 3-1 at Mohale’s Hoek DIFA Ground.

Motebang Sera, Phafa Tšosane and Lebajoa Mosehlenyane’s scores helped Thabile Secker’s side bounce back from a disappointing performance in the Independence Cup where they lost to Lioli and LDF.

Tse Putsoa are at the summit of the Econet Premier League with 17 points after seven games.

Majantja on the other hand have just one victory from their seven matches and are second from bottom of the table.

Linare were also among the big winners at the weekend as Junior Maba scored the only goal of the match to clinch a 1-0 victory over Kick4Life and climb to fourth of the log.

Tse Tala now have four victories from seven matches with 13 points.

Kick4Life on the other hand have been relegated to 10th and are winless in their last three games.

Sefotha-fotha played-out to a goalless draw against Swallows while Premier League new boys Galaxy finally came off the mark with their first ever victory in top flight football. The Hlotse outfit trounced Likhopo 3-0 to compound the side’s woes since the start of the new season.
