SA diva set for Harvest FM show

MASERU — Durban-born gospel diva Hlengiwe Mhlaba is set to perform at Harvest FM’s sixth anniversary celebrations in the capital.

The radio station’s celebrations will be held at ‘Manthabiseng Convention Centre on June 13.

Mhlaba, who rose to stardom in 2007 with her debut album Dwala Lami, which went triple-platinum, will be performing in Lesotho for the first time.

She has performed in other African countries such as Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Swaziland and Malawi before.

Harvest FM programme manager Molefe Ratsóane confirmed Mhlaba’s performance at the gala.

“Yes, it has been confirmed and we are certain that ‘Mé Hlengiwe is coming to minister at Harvest FM’s anniversary gala which will be held on June 13,” he said.

Mhlaba is expected to thrill the audience with songs from her latest album, Live at the Durban House, which was nominated in the 2009 MTN South African Music Awards.

The South African diva will share the stage at the Harvest FM show with local artists Khahliso ‘Mphepoka, Sekhohola, Tankiso Moahloli, Tebello Phatela and Julius Sekhotela.
