MASERU — BAM Promotions has postponed indefinitely the premiere of its feature film, Likhapha tsa Mali, which was scheduled for Sterkinekor yesterday.
Had the premiere taken place, the local film was set to be screened at Sterkinekor starting tomorrow until October 15.
“Due to unavoidable circumstances the executive producer, BAM Promotions, has had to postpone the movie premiere,” the company announced in an e-mail to the media.
“We will be announcing the new premiere date on BAM Promotions’ website on October 1.”
In an interview with the Weekender, Tsepang Mosena of BAM Promotions said they had learnt the film wasn’t “100 percent ready” for its premiere.
“We realised there were technicalities with the film to meet the standard that we were looking at for the opening hence postponing,” she said.
“The event has many logistics attached to it so I really cannot say how long it is going to take to finalise the technicalities and set a new date until October 1 as we are currently in discussions.”
Mosena said Likhapha tsa Mali will not be showing at Sterkinekor until it has been premiered.
“We are proud to rather retract and repair our mistakes than force to offer a low quality product, so this should give the impression that we are serious about our products,” she said.
Likhapha tsa Mali was written and directed by Jeremiah Mosese.
