MASERU — The first Annual Kome Caves Beer and Glamping Festival on November 30 to December 1, promises to be the most unforgettable event of 2013 as it will give you the experience beyond just beer.
The organisers have outdone themselves to give audience an experience like no other. The two days will have an array of music, food, arts and crafts and many fun-filled activities.
For those looking to get action and take in the sights — there will be adrenalin pumping paint-ball matches, scenic horse-rides and exciting quad-bike rides.
Those who like to take it easy can bag themselves some great bargains of some beautiful arts and crafts by talented Basotho artistes while taking a stroll through the craft market, or learn a bit more about the history of Ha Kome by taking a tour to the caves.
While you do all that, you will be nodding your head and tapping your feet to the sounds of 340ml Sound System, Maleh, Kolu Live Band, The Muffinz, D2a-majoe, Kommanda Obbs and many more local and international artistes.
The organisers of this festival are determined to enthrall Basotho and Lesotho’s visitors on a number of aspects surrounding beer.
Maluti Mountain Brewery will be on hand to give a few demonstrations about the processes of making beer, while Chef Ska will delight the palettes by demonstrating a few simple dishes of cooking with beer. Revellers will also be introduced to Lesotho’s own craft brewer, Kangfong Breweries.
Craft beer and other beers will be on sale, as well as a range of non-alcoholic beverages.
The food market will have scrumptious meals; both vegetarian and meat.
Then after all the eating, dancing and learning, festival goers who will be camping can enjoy outdoor jacuzzis and massages — for that “Nature on a Silver Platter” experience.
