A 40-YEAR old man was burnt to death on Sunday night when his shack caught fire in Ha Mafa, Thaba-Tseka.

The man’s ashes were found on Monday morning and police are investigating the cause of the fire.

Police spokesperson Superintendent Clifford Molefe said the man’s ashes were discovered the next morning when his neighbour went to relieve himself at the kraal.

He said the man worked at the mill whose machines were operated by petrol, fueling suspicion that petrol might have ignited the fire.

“The 40-year-old man from Thaba-Tseka was found burnt to ashes on Monday morning. His shack was also burnt down,” Superintendent Molefe said.
