EVENTS company, Made2Rok will on Saturday host a micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) networking session for players to interact and empower each other at Victory Hall in Maseru.

According to the company’s events coordinator Taelo Pali, the session is meant to afford MSMES an opportunity to gather together and share common experiences.

“The idea behind this session is to bring MSMEs together under one roof to know one another for networking purposes,” Mr Pali said.

“We believe that for any business to survive, it has to know where to source its business inputs.”

He said many small enterprises find it difficult to do business because they lack relevant network of suppliers for their business needs.

“We learned this the hard way. Last December we were involved in the organising the World AIDS Day commemoration activities and we struggled to obtain the supplies that we needed because we did not know of small business who could help us.

“That experience made us realise that other small businesses are going through the same challenges simply because of their limited network of suppliers. That is why we decided to hold this networking session,” Mr Pali said.

He further indicated that the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Small Business, Cooperatives and Marketing, Lerata Pekane, will be the key note speaker at the event.

“We have also invited Nedbank through its MSME section to make a presentation on how MSMEs can access funding suitable for their needs.”

Leseli Hub is also expected to make a presentation on digital marketing, which is an emerging marketing tool that MSMEs can utilise to develop their ventures.

Prospective participants are expected to pay an entrance fee, which will cater for light refreshments.
