ENTERTAINMENT outfit, Bluetone-Ent. Orga, in collaboration with the Mazenod business community, will host a talent show at Mazenod High School on 6 December.

The event, dubbed “Festive Talent Xpression”, is meant to afford upcoming artistes a platform to showcase their talent.

“There is so much talent in this country that has not yet been discovered due to limited platforms to enable our young generation to express themselves,” one of the organizers, poet Sekete Lesaoana, said.

“Our aim is to give free publicity to talent, from fashion design to poetry and everything in between.”

According to Lesaoana, there will also be a number of established performers at the event to serve as an inspiration to the budding artistes.

“It is always great and motivating to perform alongside someone you look up to,” he said.

“Therefore, we have invited some prominent artists to come and show the way to the young blood wishing to join this industry and teach them how they can survive or even become stars.”

Lesaoana said they would also explore ways by which youths can make a living from their talents.

“Graduates and school leavers are always complaining about the high unemployment rate and we think it is high time they extract that special talent stored in them to earn a living,” he added.

Organisers intend to hold the show on an annual basis, with a number of other shows in between.

Among the established acts billed to perform and share their experiences is Juvinile, Snizz, Severe Agony, Fatal Verb, Liquid Gold, MC Fire and Sekete Lesaoa.
