LINARE’S winless streak in the league now stands at six games after the team was held to a 1-1 draw by strugglers, Sefotha-Fotha at Ratjomose Ground last weekend.

Teboho Mokoma scored for Sefotha-Fotha while Linare‘s goal came from substitute Siyabonga Mkhize.

Linare last won a match in January this year after beating Manonyane 3-2. Thereafter, they went on to draw 1-1 with Likhopo before losing 0-1 to Lijabatho. They were also held 0-0 by Liphakoe last month. The Teboho Moloi-coached side was also held to a 2-2 draw by Lifofane on 27 February. Before last weekend’s game, the side had been edged 0-1 by LCS.

Linare’s struggles early this month led to the resignation of former coach, Motebang Makhetha.

Despite failing to collect maximum points last weekend, the draw saw Linare moving one step up the log standings to seventh with 35 points.

As for Sefotha-Fotha, the point collected last weekend failed to make any impact on its log standings. The side remained 16th with 11 points, six points behind Swallows in 15th.

Meanwhile, Bantu continued dropping points after drawing 1-1 with LDF on Sunday in Maputsoe. Johannes Molapo scored for the reigning league champions while Lehlohonolo Matsau scored for LDF.

Bantu have now dropped from second to fourth with 46 points. The side now has seven games before the end of the season.

Although log leaders Matlama’s match against Lifofane was postponed due to a waterlogged LCS Ground on Sunday, Tse Putsoa are just six points away from being crowned champions. Matlama are comfortably atop the log table with 62 points and six games before the end of the season.

Collecting six points from their reaming games will leave Matlama with 68 and out of the reach all the other teams.

In other games on Saturday, Lioli edged LMPS 1-0 at Lioli Ground in Teyateyaneng while Lijabatho lost 2-3 to LCS in Morija.

Kick4Life beat CCX 2-0 at LCS Ground while Liphakoe lost 0-1 to Swallows at the same venue.

Likhopo and Manonyane drew 1-1 in Nyakasoba on Sunday.
