FNB Lesotho has launched the FNB Funeral Plan in partnership with LNIG Hollard, offering funeral cover of up to M100,000 and protection for up to 21 family members under a single plan.
Unveiled in Maseru yesterday, the product aims to provide financial support to families during bereavement, with premiums starting at M1.63 per day.
FNB Lesotho Chief Executive Officer, Delekazi Mokebe, thanked LNIG Hollard for the partnership and acknowledged teams from both institutions for their collaboration in developing the product.
She emphasised the importance of partnerships in creating solutions that respond to customers’ needs and provide meaningful support to Basotho families.
FNB Lesotho Insurance Manager, Gloria Senatsi, said the plan reflected the bank’s commitment to developing products that respond to customers’ changing needs.
“The FNB Funeral Plan is an extension of our belief that Help Changes Everything. It includes inclusive features and benefits that are better suited to the changing needs of the market,” Ms Senatsi said.
She added that the bank remained committed to providing solutions that make a meaningful difference in the lives of its customers and their families.
FNB Lesotho Retail Banking Executive, Nthabeleng Khoali, said the product demonstrated the bank’s commitment to helping customers navigate important life events with confidence.
“At FNB, we continually ask ourselves one important question: How can we help? The FNB Funeral Plan is one of the answers to that question,” Khoali said.
She added that the plan offered practical support and financial protection to customers and their families.
The launch forms part of FNB Lesotho’s broader efforts to provide accessible, customer-focused financial solutions.
LNIG Hollard Chief Executive Officer, Mpho Vumbukani, highlighted the importance of the partnership, saying collaboration between financial institutions and insurance providers helped extend services to more people.
He said FNB’s established customer base and distribution channels would enable LNIG Hollard to reach customers through branches and digital platforms they already use.
Mr Vumbukani stressed that partnerships should go beyond commercial interests to deliver meaningful benefits to customers and other stakeholders.
He also underscored the importance of developing insurance solutions that provide financial protection while contributing positively to the well-being of the people they serve.
