MATLAMA reclaimed top position in the Econet Premier League after a 3-0 over Likhopo at Setsoto Stadium on Sunday.
The country’s most decorated side are among the few teams that still have their hundred percent record after three games.
Mabuti Potloane, Lebajoa Mosehlenyane and Motebang Sera each scored a goal to hand Tse Putsoa all three points in the Maseru derby against a Likhopo side that has endured a difficult start to the new season.
The Thabile Secker coached side now has seven points from three games having dismissed Linare 4-0 in the first game. They drew nil all against Sefotha-fotha in the second game before beating Likhopo 3-0 on Sunday.
The Red army on the other hand are winless after three games.
The Halemakale Mahlaha side, which avoided relegation through play-offs last season, its two opening matches against Linare and Liphakoe.
LCS were also rampant in the early match of the double header at Setsoto beating Majantja 3-1.
Masheshena are also on seven points and in second position with two victories and a draw.
Majantja have lost all their games so far.
Elsewhere on Sunday, Tse Tala registered back-to-back victories after beating Swallows 3-1 in Maputsoe on Sunday to hand the Mazenod outfit their first defeat since returning to top flight football.
Masilo Nnena, Rethabile Selonyane and Billy Pulumo netted the goals for Linare who look to have found their groove back after a 4-0 loss to Matlama in their opening game.
On Sunday, Tšepang Makapa scored the only goal for Liphakoe to edge Galaxy in Quthing. The win saw Thabo Tsutsulupa’s side rise to fourth on the log with six points.
LMPS and Kick4Life drew nil all on Sunday to maintain their unbeaten start to the new campaign.
Simunye are on seven points with two wins and a draw while Bob Mafoso’s side have one victory and two draws.
On Saturday, Lioli ended Sefotha-fotha’s unbeaten run in the new campaign after beating them 2-0 as Lehlohonolo Thotanyana’s charges made it two wins on the trot.
The Mabote outfit frustrated both Bantu and Matlama in their two opening games getting a point in each against the big guns.
However, their resilience was finally broken on the weekend with Lekhanya Lekhanya netting a brace in the first game of the double header at Setsoto Stadium.
Tse Nala now have six points after recovering from the early Kick4Life loss.
Bantu also returned to winning ways on Saturday beating LDF 3-0. Mkwanazi Motlomelo opened the scoring while Lazola Tjojokwane and Litšepe Marabe scored the other goals.
