MASERU — Renowned life-coach Limpho Tšenoli last Saturday held a talkshow at Victoria Hotel in Maseru to discuss life’s various challenges.

Tšenoli said her mission was to empower Basotho about life challenges and how to respond to them in a calm and effective manner.
“I expose people to their challenges through these shows we hold on a regular basis.
“ We record the shows to be aired on national television for everyone to be able to watch.
“Since I embarked on this project in December last year, people have started to perceive life differently. I always tell people that regardless of their circumstances, God will always find ways of resolving those particular challenges,” Tšenoli told the Weekender after the show.

Tšenoli’s shows explore various topics such as careers and family, and she said her programme continues to receive positive feedback from the public.
“This gratitude is confirmed by messages she gets on Facebook, thanking her for the “good work”.
Last Saturday, Tšenoli was discussing the topic “Family Matters”, saying everything that people develop to be is greatly influenced by their upbringing.

Different people gave their testimonies about the challenges they faced in their childhood, among them Mahlohonolo Senna who was brought up by her single mother and grandmother.
“I never knew my father as I was told he passed away when I was only three years of age way back in 1994,” Senna said.

“I grew up without a male figure in my life.
“It was not easy as other children would be boasting about their fathers and what they did for them, which was something I only dreamt of. Mine is a journey filled with indescribable pain, anger, fear and disappointment.
“I did not know how to handle myself around men as they had never been part of my life before.
“Most children turn to drugs trying to get rid of that anger, I am just glad I turned to God.
“I learned to hold on to something that lasts rather than something which only gives a few minutes’ pleasure.”

A member of the audience, Mabokang Letuka, said those who had gone public with their stories were very bold people.
“God has a plan for everyone in this life and there is no problem greater than Him.
“Every challenge one faces does not divert God’s purpose about his or her life. Let our lives be in His hands.”
Tšenoli, in supporting Letuka’s statement, said people should learn to grieve in order to heal.
“Holding a grudge is like drinking poison and hoping that person you despise dies. Just let go for the sake of your happiness.

“Parents should not use children as weapons when they have problems in their relationships.
“They should not make children suffer when they decide to divorce each other.”
