THE season of love is upon us and singer Chino El Vito has released a six-track compilation titled Khomari with tracks to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The compilation that was released on Friday includes tracks like Ntšoarele, Stay, Ntumelle featuring Gervas Green, My Baby.

Khomari loosely to mean “the glue that keeps things together” is a project which Chino El Vito says is his introduction to the world as a soulful Sesotho singer and songwriter.

Valentine’s Day, also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine is celebrated annually on February 14.  Valentine’s Day is recognised as a significant cultural and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love in many regions around the world.

The RnB singer said he wanted to create a compilation of love songs which address the various problems that lovers face.

“These days it is very hard for youngsters to propose and with this album I wanted to create tracks which people can send to their loved ones to pass a message just like the old days,” Chino El Vito said.

He said with the song Ntšoarele, he sings about apologising and learning to accept when one is wrong.

Chino El Vito said he started working on the compilation last December with the intention of compiling tracks which someone can play for his/her crush while couples can also use to rekindle their love.

He said he hopes to perform the tracks tonight at Cuban Linx on Valentine’s Day.

Born, Rethabile Khomari Makakole, the artiste started playing and producing music under the name Chino El Vito in 2007 mostly focusing on house music.

“The singer in me only surfaced around 2012 when I started playing the guitar and always needing vocalists for my beats,” Chino El Vito said.

Chino released his first project in 2015 titled Before Sunset before releasing Black Crown in 2018, an album which he says he used to express all his abilities.
