SLB unveils exclusive private banking suite

…targets enhanced client experience

STANDARD Lesotho Bank (SLB) has officially opened a state-of-the-art private banking suite at Maseru Mall, dedicated exclusively to its high-net-worth clients.

The launch marks a significant milestone in the bank’s efforts to enhance service delivery and strengthen long-term relationships with its premium clientele.

The new facility offers a modern, sophisticated environment designed to promote privacy, trust and tailored financial solutions.

Speaking at the launch, SLB Chief Executive Officer, Samuel Seboka, said the suite represents a deliberate shift towards redefining the client experience.

“This is more than just a change of location. It is a clear statement of intent and commitment to placing clients at the centre of everything we do and delivering personalised service defined by excellence,” he said.

The suite has been designed with a focus on convenience, accessibility and exclusivity, providing clients with a seamless environment to engage with relationship managers and access expert financial advice.

Mr Seboka emphasised that private banking is built on trust and long-term partnerships.

“This new space enables us to deepen relationships through dedicated, relationship-led service in an environment that reflects both the calibre of our clients and our shared ambitions,” he added.

In line with global banking trends, the bank has also introduced digital innovations to improve efficiency. The suite complements the recently launched “Affluent Express” platform, which allows clients to handle routine banking requests via phone or email, ensuring quick service even in the absence of relationship managers.

Head of Affluent and High Net Worth Clients, Makarabo Ndaule, said the development was informed by client feedback.

“We have listened to our clients’ needs. They wanted more accessible, personalised and efficient service—and that is exactly what this upgrade delivers,” Ms Ndaule said.

She also said the initiative aligns with the bank’s broader vision of delivering a world-class private banking experience rooted in trust, expertise and long-term value creation.

Meanwhile, board member, Monehela Posholi, expressed appreciation to the bank’s loyal clients and reaffirmed its commitment to innovation.

“This facility reflects our dedication to meeting client needs and continuously improving our offering. We are confident it will strengthen relationships, enhance satisfaction and support sustained growth in our private banking business,” Mr Posholi said.
