Limkokwing University of Creative Technology took part in a two-day annual educational fair hosted by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) at Manthabiseng Convention Centre from the 05th to the 06th February 2026.
CHE Fair is a platform coined by the Council on Higher Education with the aim of creating an atmosphere for engagements between Institutions of Higher learning and High School learners. During the two days, different institutions of higher learning gather to give insights on programs they offer and their career paths, thereby creating a pool of opportunities for learners to decide on which fields to pursue.
Institutions that participated in this year’s fair included; National University of Lesotho (NUL), Botho University, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT), Lesotho College of Education (LCE), Lerotholi Polytechnic (LP), National Health Training Centre (NHTC), Scott College of Nursing, Roma College of Nursing, Maluti Adventist College of Nursing, Paray College of Nursing, Institute of Development Management (IDM), Boston Health, Centre for Accounting Studies and Lesotho China Collegiate.
The first day of the event started on a high note as learners, clothed in their respective uniforms flooded the building, enquiring from different camps on the courses provided, with the whole day dedicated to Question and Answer sessions by different stalls. The second day of business was no different from the first, inviting the second cohort of students who were as energetic as the first, summing up the two days of career guidance as both entertaining and educational.
As part of an initiative to strengthen relations between institutions of higher learning and high schools, each participating institution was afforded a golden opportunity to give a short presentation on the programs they offer and a brief background of their institutions. This platform enabled institutions to promote their courses and highlight the benefits of applying to their respective institutions. The initiative proved to be a significant and memorable experience for the participating high schools and Institutions alike, as it allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of the institutions and their offerings, thereby assisting them in making informed decisions regarding which stalls to visit and potential academic pathways to pursue.
To put an end to the exhilarating two days, the Council on Higher Education summed it up with a gala dinner, which was amongst others held with the purpose of awarding the best stalls. The council on higher education formed an independent panel responsible for overseeing stores and judging them based on the overall representation of the stall, which amongst others entails the display of materials, caliber and professionalism of officers as well as engagement between stall personnel and learners.
Out of the four Universities represented at this event, Limkokwing University came up top of the charts, followed by Botho University and Lerotholi Polytechnic. Although the panel agreed that this was a tough decision to make, it was evident that Limkokwing University displayed the best stall. Besides the beauty of the stall, the University had also deployed some of its senior staff members, who were wholeheartedly giving course counseling to prospective students. Apart from that, current University students were also deployed to give prospective students a taste of how it feels to be a student. These were some pointers that made Limkokwing University stand out from the rest.
In the same breath, the Council on Higher Education congratulated each participant, admitting that the standard was high this year, therefore further giving a huge round of applause to Limkokwing University which emerged victorious against all odds, something which has become a norm since the University has been scooping these awards from the previous years.
