BUILDING dreams became a reality on Saturday for one lucky customer, ‘Mathebe Ramotšekoane, after Builder’s City officially handed over the grand prize from its recent raffle giveaway — a brand-new Suzuki Carry utility truck.

In addition to the truck, other prizes awarded to customers included a generator, a grass cutter, a grinder, and several other items.

Speaking during the handover ceremony held at the Builder’s City Industrial Area branch, Marketing Manager ‘Maleseli Tota said the raffle was aimed at rewarding loyal customers who purchase building and hardware essentials from the store.

“We invited customers who buy building and hardware essentials to enter for a chance to win significant prizes. The grand prize, a versatile Suzuki Carry, was designed to support local customers in transporting building materials for their 2026 home projects,” Ms Tota said.

She said the handover formed part of Builder’s City’s drive to encourage customers to build with confidence in the new year, adding that management was grateful for the continued support from the community.

“Nothing makes us happier than knowing our customers find everything they need under one roof. From big renovations to small home fixes, we are here to help our community build their dreams,” Ms Tota said.

Ms Tota further said that while the truck giveaway has ended, Builder’s City will continue offering seasonal promotions and price locks throughout 2026. She noted that the promotion runs until 30 June 2026 on selected building materials, allowing customers to access 2026 “must-have essentials” for renovations and organisational projects.

“We extend our deepest appreciation to the founder of Builder’s City and its sister stores, Mr Abdul Karim Noormahomed, for creating employment opportunities for many Basotho,” Ms Tota said.

For his part, Mr Noormahomed said the company intends to expand its operations to bring services closer to the people. He explained that the truck giveaway forms part of Builder’s City’s broader mission to give back to the community.

Mr Noormahomed said the company has already supported the Mafeteng community by helping to address the local water crisis through the digging of wells. He added that Builder’s City has also provided electricity, solar systems and water taps to the Home for Life Orphanage.

“We also give back to the community by employing over 200 Basotho across all our stores.

“We are proud of the support we receive from our customers. The gift we are giving away today is significant to us at Builder’s City because we have been operating in the country for many years. We would not be where we are today without your continued support,” Mr Noormahomed said.
