Damario-200x150 By Mohalenyane Phakela

Maseru — Popular Afro-pop artiste, Lethapa “Damario” Tikiso will host a show at the Trompies in Kolonyama on Saturday.

Supported by his brother Molantjeng (Datsi) under the auspices of Sepro Enterprise, a local entertainment outfit, Damario is set to give Basotho the best in home-grown amusement.

Sepro Enterprise is owned by the two Tikiso brothers who were born and bred in Khubetsoana, Maseru.

The duo says music runs in the family as they are both into music (Datsi being the deejay and Damario the singer), so is their late brother who was known as Anti-dj.

In an interview with the Weekender on Monday, Molantjeng Tikiso said: “The fiesta will originally be our way of welcoming spring in style so is the introduction of our movement that is bound to cause havoc in the entertainment industry this festive season.

“We have decided to do it in Kolonyama because we realised that some of Lesotho’s prominent figures like Ts’eliso Sekhoacha and former minister Ralechate Mokose hail from this place.

“We believe this show will bring Kolonyama to life and turn it into a partying spot this coming summer.”

Tikiso further added that the event will not only be for the promotion of Damario’s album Khalase e Ncha (The Journey 2) but it will also be in preparation for his soon-to-be-launched clothing brand “Shut Up and Dance”.

There will also be performances by the likes of Febric and Protagon.

From Kolonyama the duo will be in Maputsoe doing what they know best – entertaining fans.
