BEREA –Police discovered a truck loaded with 258 bags of dagga abandoned along the road to Teyateyaneng two weeks ago.

Superintendent Lerata Fobo of Berea confirmed the find.

“Police became suspicious when they found a truck parked along the road. When they opened the car they found it heavily loaded with dagga,” said Fobo.

He said officials from a company called Woodford Vehicle rental came to claim the car.

“They said they had rented the car to one Mbaleki Dumisani from Durban and it was supposed to operate in South Africa only,” Fobo said.

“Incidents whereby dagga bags are found abandoned are common especially in rural areas,” he said.
