REVELLERS will be spoilt for choice this weekend, with an array of shows and activities lined up to cater for various tastes and pockets.

Headlining the weekend’s events calendar is the two-day Spring Madness organised by local events outfit Stocksweet Entertainment. This year’s edition will start off with a pre-party at Purple Haze in Maputsoe tomorrow, with the main event slated for Victoria Poolside in Maseru on Saturday.

Among the artists lined up for the pre-party show include South Africa’s Heavy K and DJ Zondi, Botswana’s DJ Khenzo and Mr Massie as well as local acts such as Stlofa, DJ Boots, Vida Loca, Sadon, Da Starr, DJ Hally, Mr Beekay, Zagro DJs, Thybzen and Super Twins.

The main event will be held by the pool and will set revelers back by M80. During the show, the crowd will be doused in “5k colors” paint which is easily washable and made from food-grade corn starch. During the evening, revelers will be given glow sticks, glow glasses, neon sticks, glow wristbands and cups to spice up the event.

Among the artists lined up include Motswako’s Khuli Chana, Zeus, Duncan, Lection, Towdeemac, Khosimowa, Adrianto, DJ Khenzo, Mr Massie, DJ Zondi and DJ Tira. The local contingent will consist of L-Tore, Juvy, Stlofa, Hally, Skebz D, Nirex, Axo Mind, Queen Mo, Sadon, Mr BeeKay, T-Mech, Blaze, Silent Fate, Peele Feela, Thizozo, Da Starr and Dallas T.

As if that was not enough, revelers can also look forward to the “Memories of Right Now” (MORN) festival at Maseru Club grounds on Saturday featuring South African Hip Hop crew, CashTime Family, in its entirety for the first time in Lesotho.

The South African group consists of such popular acts as KO, Kid X, DJ Vigilante, Ma-E, Maggs and Mozlie.

They will share the stage with a host of local artists including Queen Mo, Juvy, Blaze Shutta Queen, OGM, T-Mech, Trojan, El’ Alsa, A Supreme, Razor Minora, Ebonix, PabloDJ, Tshepzadj, Sir Schaba, Kopano the First, OuzySoul, AfroDJ, Hally, Thabbie, Smooth, Boots, Napolenah, Hunky D, Monyase DJ, Harris T and Jiji F among others.

Vodacom Lesotho revealed last week that it had teamed up with the festival’s organisers by adding the recent Vodacom Superstars 2015 talent search competition winners to the line-up. Male deejay category winner DJ Vesta, female DJ category winner DJ Linah and music category winner L-Tore will perform at the festival. The telecommunications giant has also added to the lineup South Africa’s Metro FM and Channel O DJ, Shimza. Admission will be M100 inclusive of M30 airtime.

Two Halloween-themed parties are also in store for revelers at Music Mansion in Maseru West tomorrow and Maseru Mall-based Cappello restaurant.

The Music Mansion gig will feature DJ Disco, Adillxh, Trybz and DJ Trend, with admission M40. Cappello’s Halloween bash will also feature DJ Ebonix, T-Mech and Trend for an admission charge of M50.

Meanwhile, Moshoeshoe II-based new joint, Green Gate, will also host a Garden Pizza Party on Saturday, with guests treated to a pizza buffet, while being entertained by DJs Da Starr and Trend for M150.
