THARI-EA-TSHEEPE, a local artiste who fuses poetry and Afro-jazz, has released a love song titled ‘Maliepetsane.
Born Thaabe Lelosa, Thari-Ea-Tsheepe performed the song at Sehlabeng sa Thuathe on 14 February 2020 at the Be My Moonlight Valentine Event at Scenery Guest House.
The artiste told the Weekender in a recent interview that ‘Maliepetsane is meant to play an important role in bringing couples together.
The singer uses his smooth Sesotho poetry skills to explain the beauty of love, urging men to remain steadfast to their partners and repeatedly appreciate them.
He collaborated with Tlali-Mothoana on the track.
“I was inspired to write the track by the beauty of love,” Thari-Ea-Tsheepe said adding: “Women deserve to be loved for them to be happy, either married or not”.
“So, this song stresses the importance of love.”
He said fans should expect more singles adding that he would soon announce dates for the release of his upcoming album.
The 28-year-old from Ha-Mopeli, Butha-Buthe released his first mixtape in 2015 dubbed Thari-Ea-Tsheepe, with poetic songs like Lefatshe le Khenathetse Lefu which made waves on the music scene.
He has also performed on stages like the Summer Street Fashion Wear, Face of Sotho Kids, Miss Spring Lesotho and the World Day against Human Trafficking commemoration by Beautiful Dream Society.
