MASERU — An official vehicle belonging to the Health Principal Secretary (PS), Lefu Manyokole, was burnt in Ha Foso in a suspected arson attack on Tuesday night.

Police spokesperson Inspector Thato Ramarikhoana confirmed the incident and said police were investigating.

It is understood that the PS’s driver from the ministry of health had been using the vehicle when it broke down in Ha Foso.

The driver had then asked for permission to park it at a house for safety pending its recovery the next morning.

However, it is believed a yet-to-be-identified arsonist could have torched the vehicle using petrol for reasons yet to be established.
