MASERU — Retail giant Pick ‘n Pay on Friday officially opened a clothing outlet at Pioneer Shopping Mall.

Franchise owner of Pick ‘n Pay, Andre Beukes, said the outlet was an extension of the Pick ‘n Pay Store which opened at the mall in November 2009.

“There is a variety of clothing in the store to cater for all people. With this store we wanted to fulfill the needs of our customers by supplying them with everything they need,” Beukes said.

He thanked his staff for their hard work and commitment since the store was opened a few days ago.

“With the commitment you have shown in the past few days, I’m confident that this business will be a success.”

Beukes said they were very happy with the response from the customers so far.

“The customers came in large numbers,” he said.

He added that they have hired 10 Basotho to work in the new clothing outlet, bringing to 160 locals employed by Pick ’n Pay.
