A SEPTUAGENARIAN pensioner, Ariel Mathi Mosaase, from Salang in the Mokhotlong district recently won M100 000 in Econet’s ‘Matsebetsebe share a million promotion’.
Matsebetsebe share a Million is a promotion where more customers stand easy chances of becoming daily and monthly cash and Kwese TV kits winners through recharges and SMSes.
There are two ways to qualify for the draws. Customers need to send the word ‘Econet’ to 65100 and play trivia question and answer game. For every correct answer, a customer collects 10 points and 5 point for a wrong answer. The points are the customer’s entry into the draw and the more one plays, the more their chances of winning. Each SMS costs M1.00.
Secondly, customers can qualify for the draw by recharging airtime onto their phones. Every M10 recharge gives 1 point and the more one recharges the more the chances of winning (except for airtime transfer).
Speaking at the recent prize handover ceremony in the Mokhotlong, an ecstatic Mr Mosaase (74) expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Econet.
“I was only hoping to be part of the daily M5000 cash winners but I am delighted to have been blessed with M100 000,” Mr Mosaase said.
He said that he would use the money to renovate his properties which he rented out to the public.
For her part, Econet Public Relations Officer, Puleng Masoabi, said that the ‘Matsebetsebe share a million promotion’ is Econet’s way of giving back to the community and showing their appreciation for the loyalty and support they received from their customers.
“The promotion is open to all Econet prepaid customers and in order for customers to be part of the draws, they have to deposit at least M20 into their Ecocash wallets allowing them to be automatically entered into the daily and monthly draws,” Ms Masoabi said.
She further said that the promotion presented Econet’s customers with opportunities to improve their lives and achieve their dreams.
Econet’s Chief Commercial Officer, Maurice Newa concurred with Ms Masoabi and added that Econet would continue to empower its customers to reward them for their support.
“Mosaase is a living proof that anyone who enters the competition has a chance to win great cash prices and Kwese TV kits. All it takes is to recharge, cash-in and play Matsebetsebe,” Newa said.
The second draw for M150 000 will take place on the 8 September this year.
