THE revamped tertiary newcomers’ ball is on tomorrow evening at the National University of Lesotho’s (NUL) Machabeng Stadium in Roma.
The event was initially held on 2 September this year and the venue was changed at the last-minute from Roma to Maseru Mall due to strikes that rocked three NUL, Lerotholi Polytechnic and Limkokwing University.
It was held under the tagline Freshers Week: The Ultimate Freshman but this edition will be bigger as it combines the original line-up of Climax Lifestyle and that of Defend the Trap.
Dubbed Defend the Trap Meets Fresher’s Re-Up, the entertainment line-up includes Dj Mlungu, Osmic, Priddy Ugly, Nine 24, Trybz, Frank Casino and Major League to name a few with Kat Afro, Kiva, Queen Mo’Slay as the official MC’s for the night.
“Re-Up is bigger, the line-up is better and, we are in a collaboration with another local event organizing company called Defend the Trap,” said Leshoboro Makhanyane, the Climax Lifestyle Executive Director.
“The demand for the event was high as the original fresher’s plans changed due to students striking and we owe our supporters because of the last-minute change of venue.
“The dust has settled and the student community want the event at the stadium and because of the size of the venue, we know there will be a better turnout.
“We want to build a name for Climax Lifestyle, create an experience for the youth of Lesotho,” Mr Makhanyane said.
He said they had recruited an additional 15 guards to ensure adequate security.
Tickets for the event are available at all Econet Stores at M80 for an early bird which includes an M10 Econet voucher. They cost M100 at the gate.
