MASERU — Local gospel sensation Francis Ntlhoki will launch his album on Saturday at Mofumahali Oa Tlholo.

Inspired by the recently appointed Catholic leader Pope Francis, the album excels in acoustic sounds, fresh vocals and an intelligent style of song-writing.

This 11-track album Pope Francis 1 is somehow paradoxical, it is the same song Binang ka Thabo, sang in three different languages (English, Sesotho and Latin), in eleven versions by different artistes from different churches.

“I am trying to give Basotho a taste of something unique, I doubt anyone has done something like this before.

“It is also intended to show the rest of the world that although we are from different churches, we worship the same God and so we should do that in one accord,” mentioned Ntlhoki.

The album is without clichés, properly arranged. Themes cover the awe of God, proclamation of his truth and his omnipresence.

He also stated that the launch will be in its own unique format.

“As this is a Gospel album, the launch will start with the morning mass conducted by Archbishop Bernard Mohlalisi.
