MASERU — Nigerian movie stars, Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme, are set to land in Lesotho this morning.
Joachim Iyke Moneh of Gold Bond Consult told the Weekender on Tuesday that the two “rats” are due to land at Moshoeshoe 1 Airport at 10am.
Ikedieze, 34, and Iheme, 29, are set to peform at a show being dubbed the African Magic Storm Rats Invasion.
“They are arriving on Thursday morning at Moshoeshoe 1 airport,” Moneh said.
The African Magic Storm Rats, as they are popularly known, will perform both stand-up and drama comedy at Lehakoe Club tomorrow.
On Saturday they are scheduled to perform at Setsoto Stadium.
Soon after their arrival the talented actors are set to be whisked away in a convoy to be driven around Maseru to familiarise themselves with the beauty of Lesotho.
Moneh said the duo will later have radio interviews to speak to the fans.
He said the VIP show at Lehakoe will see the Disciples and Identity stars interacting with fans.
“Saturday will be the biggest day of the event where on top of the Rats’ entertainment, locals musicians Stlofa, Mthibo, Dunamis will be performing live,” he said.
Local DJs Mekonko, Tseko, Hally and Tybzen will be on the ones and twos.
Moneh said the VIP show tickets were selling quite well.
“We are hoping people will buy the tickets more at the gate on Saturday because right now tickets for the VIP are selling well than for the big show,” he added.
He said they were still busy advertising the shows and raising the bar so people can see the need to take part in the first international comedy show in the history of Lesotho’s entertainment.
