THE nation’s telecommunications powerhouse, Econet Telecom Lesotho (ETL), is once again turning up the heat as the headline sponsor of the Econet Lecholi Mountain Drive and Braai Experience, set for this coming weekend at the breathtaking Bushmen’s Pass on the outskirts of Maseru.
Now in its third year, the much-loved event promises to be bigger, bolder, and more exhilarating than ever before.
With its perfect mix of music, food, and adventure, this year’s edition is expected to draw thousands of thrill-seekers, music lovers, and families eager for an unforgettable weekend escape.
This year’s stage will sizzle with performances from some of Lesotho’s and the region’s most celebrated talents, including Wave Ryder, Ntate Stunna, Sannere, Selimo Thabane, Omali Themba, and Cityzeen LS. Adding fire to the decks will be DJ Thizozo, Pablo DJ, DJ Bootz, DJ Lym, and ETL’s own crowd-pulling favourites Donny B and Tea-spun.
Beyond the live acts and sizzling braai stands, Econet Lecholi 2025 is an adventure on its own as revellers can look forward to 4×4 off-road challenges, quad biking, hiking trails, and camping experiences, making it the ultimate all-round weekend getaway.
Whether one is drawn by the beats, the food, or the call of the mountains, one thing is certain: Econet Lecholi 2025 is a not-to-be-missed spectacle that promises memories of a lifetime.
The nation is already abuzz, with excited patrons preparing to descend on the mountainous Bushmen’s Pass area, ready for the ultimate outdoor experience.
As one of ETL’s flagship initiatives, the Econet Lecholi Mountain Drive and Braai Experience is more than just a party – it is a celebration of Lesotho’s rich cultural heritage and untapped tourism potential.
“As Econet, we are thrilled to once again power this spectacular event. This investment is not only an opportunity to celebrate with our valued customers but also a platform to highlight the vibrancy of Lesotho’s entertainment scene and showcase the wonders of our Mountain Kingdom,” said ETL’s Acting GM – Marketing Communications and Customer Experience, Puleng ‘Mathabo Masoabi.
Ms Masoabi said the event reflects ETL’s deep commitment to creating shared moments with Basotho while championing values of unity, culture, and heritage.
For his part, one of Lecholi organisers, Hlalele Hlalele, said it would not be possible without Econet’s support.
“It’s all thanks to Econet Telecom that we can deliver an event of this scale – an unforgettable experience that brings together friends, families, and fun, while setting the stage for the festive season ahead,” said Mr Hlalele.
