MASERU — A merry Christmas, merrymaking event bringing together five South African and Basotho DJs at one venue!
It is an early Christmas bash and Mangaung Cultural Festival After Party that will see all the roads leading to Setsoto Restaurant in Maseru tomorrow.
Fans have been promised some of the latest music while South African DJs — Dr Duda, KG Small, Clen and Stone — will be honoured at the show, for their hospitality during the Mangaung Cultural Festival last month.
Lesotho’s DJs Tseko, Thaby, Possy, Dibosa and Dallas T will also be performing at what has been dubbed the mother of all parties.
It is a must-attend shindig during which Dr Duda will also be officially launching his album.
The show’s coordinator, Tebello ‘Dallas T’ Leballo told the Weekender tomorrow’s bash was their way of saying “thank you” to their South African counterparts.
“We agreed to do something different as a token of appreciation to South African DJs,” Dallas T said.
“We were treated the same way they handled overseas and other South African DJs at the Mangaung Cultural Festival.”
Dallas T said they were bringing only a few of the South African DJs due to financial constrains.
“We had to bring a few of them so we can be able to pay them at the end of the show,” he said.
“It was going to be unfair not to give them anything because we were paid for performing at the Mangaung Cultural Festival.”
Dallas T said the bash was going to be a special entertainment function because of its uniqueness.
“It’s going to be special because we acknowledge the fact that they treated us well and appreciated our talent,” he said.
