AUTOMOBILE association, Don’t Mess With My VW Lesotho, will on 28 May host its inaugural All Cars Motor Show in Letamong, Hlotse.
Don’t Mess With My VW Lesotho is an association of Volkswagen Mk1, Mk2, Mk3 models owners which was formed in January 2015. In addition to sharing ideas on improving and maintaining their cars, the members also engage in charitable activities as a way of giving back to the community.
According to the organisation’s publicist, Hape Mohlotsane, the upcoming motor show would feature vehicles from various automobile associations which would compete in different categories.
“We decided to spice things up by hosting the first annual motor show,” Mohlotsane told the Weekender this week.
“We are building relations with other clubs in Lesotho such as Ke Libike, Polo Club and Audi Club which have confirmed their participation. Discussions are also ongoing with other automobile clubs.”
He said the cars would be judged on aesthetics, cleanness and accessories among other criteria.
Mohlotsane also said they were organizing prizes for the winners to motivate the participants.
“The upcoming show will be our pilot event. We intend to have prizes to motivate the entrants and build up momentum for the next show,” he said.
Mohlotsane added that the entertainment lineup would include PabloDJ, Vesta, AfroDJ, Dunamis, Juvinile and Mekonko among others.
