MASERU — Voting for this year’s Vodacom Soccer Spectacular closes at midnight tomorrow.

It is safe to say that Bantu, in first place with 55 962 votes, have qualified for the tournament.

It is also safe to say that Berea LMPS, who are last with 14 votes, won’t make it.

What was not expected though was the sudden rise of first division Butha-Buthe side Manamela who have catapulted into second place with 25 444 votes. Last week Manamela were 29th place in the charts with 140 votes.

However, that is the only miracle that has happened over the past week.

Apart from Qalo slipping making way for Manamela, the top eight remains the same with LCS, Lioli, Matlama, Maseru Naughty Boys, Swallows and Majantja still in the pound seats to qualify for the eight-team M1 million showpiece.

Meanwhile, Coca-Cola through the Lesotho Breweries Company (LBC) is launching its 2010 World Cup drive with a road show tomorrow.

“This is the build-up to the World Cup,” LBC soft drinks sales manager Maboee Moeko said. “Besides this there is a promotion that is ongoing.

“The winners will win tickets to the World Cup Fan Experience as part of the World Cup Trophy Tour that will take place in Maseru in December. We will be at Checkout supermarket at 11 on Friday.”
