MASERU — Apart from the rain that hit Mohale’s Hoek and Butha-Buthe this past weekend causing the postponement of two games, and the shenanigans at Pitso Ground that saw the abandonment of the Matlama-Swallows fixture two weekends ago, it is so far so good for the Premier League.
With just three weeks gone, 52 goals have already been scored in 28 league games.
This past weekend alone saw two five-goal thrillers with Matlama and Mphatlalatsane edging Rovers and Nyenye Rovers 3-2.
The team topping the scoring charts are Linare with seven goals.
However the side topping the table are Lioli who elbowed LDF and Bantu off their throne after those two played to a goalless draw on Sunday.
This weekend there is a double bill of fixtures in the league.
And Lioli face their biggest test of the season so far when they face MGC kings LMPS at their Old Europa base.
LMPS are the last side to have defeated Lioli in the league, and Lioli failed to beat LMPS in the previous two seasons.
Another side looking to collect six points from the weekend is injury hit Mphatlalatsane.
They travel to Mazenod on Saturday to face Swallows and host LPMS on Sunday.
