THE stage is set for the 2025/26 Women Super League (WSL) Top 4 tournament following the draw conducted yesterday at Bambatha Tšita Sports Arena.

The competition will feature the league’s top four teams — LDF Ladies, Lijabatho Ladies, Kick4Life Women and Berea Ladies — with the semi-finals scheduled for 22 May at Saxophone Thejane Technical Centre.

The third-place playoff and final will be played on 24 May at Sebatana Russel Technical Centre.

According to the draw, Lijabatho Ladies will face Berea Ladies in the opening semi-final, while 2025/26 WSL champions LDF Ladies will clash with bitter rivals Kick4Life Women in the second semi-final.

The semi-final day will also feature a Champion of Champions encounter between the two teams recently promoted to the WSL after winning promotional playoffs in their respective regions.

PK Star Ladies secured promotion by winning the Northern Region playoffs, while Emmanuel Ladies triumphed in the Southern Region. The two sides will now battle for the national overall playoffs title.

Both clubs will compete in next season’s top-flight league, replacing relegated sides Mawese Ladies and Villa Ladies.

Meanwhile, the Top 4 tournament remains without a sponsor, with WSL chairman, Tšeliso Ramatla, confirming that the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) will continue to fund the competition.

“We are still without sponsors and LeFA will continue to financially back the tournament,” Ramatla said.

“The prizes will be announced at a later stage as they are still under review.”

Lesotho Football Association National Executive Committee member, Lekhooa Thabaneng, also appealed to the nation to support women’s football in the same way supporters rally behind the men’s game.
