MASERU — Hololo MP Teboho Letšela could find himself in soup after he allegedly insulted a former Centre for Accounting Studies rector on social network site Facebook.

Moliehi Raditapole who is now working in Canada says Letšela, 25, insulted her on September 6.

A source close to the matter told the Lesotho Times this week that Raditapole had since written to National Assembly Speaker, Ntlhoi Motsamai, asking her to take disciplinary action against the MP.

Motsamai declined to talk when contacted by the Lesotho Times on the matter last night saying she would only “discuss work-related issues at my office during office hours”.

This paper is also reliably informed that Raditapole’s letter of complaint had since been sent to Prime Minister Pakalitha Mosisili and his deputy Lesao Lehohla in their capacities as LCD leaders.

Lehohla last night said he was still to receive the letter as he was just arriving from a foreign trip.

The Lesotho Times however is in possession of a printout of correspondences between Letšela, Raditapole and others who were forwarded the message which was laced with vulgar language.

Letšela allegedly insulted Raditapole using unprintable language.

A shocked Raditapole then forwarded the vulgar messages to a minister (name withheld) seeking advice.

“I would like to lodge a complaint and would really like you to help me direct my complaint through the proper channels,” says Raditapole to the minister.

“I am absolutely aghast that this young man is so misdirected as to think he can insult me or anyone without cause like this.

“For that matter please note that he is not even my Facebook friend but somehow was able to send me a message like this.”

Efforts to contact Letšela were not successful last night.
