KICK4LIFE ended their six-match Econet Premier League winless streak at the weekend beating Matlama 2-0 at LCS Ground on Sunday.
The Bob Mafoso coached outfit had a promising start to the season opening their campaign with a 2-1 win over Lioli but has since found the going tough drawing their next three consecutive matches before losing thrice against Liphakoe, LCS and Linare.
But fortunes turned for the Old Europa based outfit with second half substitute Norman Kumatse opening the scoring before national under-20 striker, Tšeliso Botsane, sealed the win in the dying minutes of the match.
The weekend loss saw Matlama drop to the second position on the 14-team league table while LCS who played to a goalless draw with LDF leapfrogging them thanx to a superior goal difference as the two sides both have 17 points.
Likhopo also ran amok registering a convincing 3-1 win over struggling Majantja at LDF Ground.
Thabiso Mari, Tšepang Sefali and Tsobotsi Morobe were on target for Likhopo with Majantja’s consolation goal coming from Katleho Mokotso.
The result saw Likhopo move from the bottom of the table to position 12 while Majantja slid one step down to 14.
Galaxy continued with their fine form adding on to Swallows woes in a battle of rookies beating them 2-0 courtesy of a Puane Mpolle’s brace.
The defending league champions, Bantu, got back to winning ways following their one-all stalemate with Liphakoe a fortnight ago as they beat Linare 1-0 at Maputsoe DIFA Ground.
Bantu defender, Mkhwanazi Mkhwanazi, sent his old paymasters to the cleaners as he netted to ensure that Bantu stay in the race to defend their title.
A Matšo Matebele moved from position five to third position with 15 points trailing joint leaders LCS and Matlama by two points.
On Saturday, Lioli suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Liphakoe at LCS Ground.
A goal apiece from Letuka Mokhochane and Basia Letuka in both halves of the were enough to see Liphakoe cementing their place in the top five teams of the league table.
Lehlohonolo Thotanyana’s outfit are enduring a difficult season and are currently sitting on eighth position after they have registered just three wins out of eight matches losing four and drawing one.
LMPS also had to come from a goal down to share the spoils with Sefotha-fotha played at PTC Ground.
