MASERU — Local disc spinner DJ Thoxie brought down Times Café last Friday during the much-anticipated “Ladies Gone Wild Party” which went on unhindered till the next morning.
Thoxie has been setting the local night life ablaze with his unique style of unifying soulful deep House tracks into a single long mix.
His skill makes it hard for revellers to take a break from the dance floor but it needs one to move gently to the sound for “the aim is not to sweat but to feed the soul”, he said.
Speaking to the Weekender just after performing Thoxie said: “I am so delighted to have nailed it tonight. I had taken a long break (about six months) from either playing or practicing so I was not that confident in myself.
“I normally put more hours into music than any other thing but the reaction of the crowd tonight actually shows that I still got my ‘mojo’”.
“Apart from that, sharing the stage with people like Vinny and T-Deep is quite a blessing as one is able to learn one or two things from them.
“They also uplift me by giving us local deejays international experience”.
Times Café was packed with pretty ladies dancing the night away. For just an ordinary guy, it was very difficult to spot the best girl in the club as they were all beautiful.
The regular patrons were also present doing what they are well known for, which is drinking the night away.
A whole array of deejays took to the stage to show off their different mixing skills making the crowd scream and beg for more.
Mekonko got behind the decks after his guests had all performed to roll down the curtain when the morning sun rays started to hit Times Café. Revellers were reluctant to leave the venue as they could not get enough of the sound.
