VICTORIA Poolside in Maseru is set to host the third edition of the All White Party on Christmas Eve with a host of activities lined up.
A white party is an event at which revellers would be dressed in white, and originated from the United States. Over the years, the format has gained popularity around the world.
The All White Party is being organised by The Chronicles – House of Events. The events outfit’s co-owner, DJ Harris T, told the Weekender this week that introducing the white party concept in Lesotho was not easy.
“I fell in love with the white party concept in 2010 when I attended a friend’s party in Cape Town which had the same theme,” Harris T said.
“However, it was not easy to introduce the idea in Lesotho when I launched it, but fortunately there were a number of revellers who got hooked to the idea from the start. It rained during the first edition, but the loyal fans who knew I would deliver showed up and it became a success.”
He said while other people were now emulating the concept, his white parties would always be unique.
“What makes the upcoming different from the rest will the classy setup and world-class entertainment,” said Harris T, adding that revelers should bring swimwear since it would also be a pool party.
He, however, would not be drawn to name the artists set to perform at the bash.
“The lineup of performers should not be what revelers look forward to. They should expect the party of a lifetime and those that have attended my shows know that I always deliver. All I can say is it is going to be 70 percent of Hip Hop and the rest will be House,” Harris T said.
He added that the event would be supported by Skyy Vodka, with tickets already available at Victoria Hotel and Pioneer Mall kiosk.
