MASERU — Tele-communications giant, Vodacom Lesotho has launched a new one-stop shop product — the Red Prepaid Bundles, as the company steps up efforts to ensure convenience for its clientele this festive season.
The RED Prepaid Bundles’ service was conveniently introduced with the busy festive season in mind and at the heart of the initiative is the desire to save consumers’ money, time and allow flexible use of mobile phones.
In an interview on Monday, Senior Manager Prepaid Motlalepula Ramaisa said although they have been promoting other “Bundles” products, the RED Prepaid is unique.
“Vodacom already has existing Bundles Promotions, but the RED Prepaid is like a one-stop shop where all your mobile needs are catered for,” Ramaisa said.
Here is how the magic works — the Vodacom prepaid and top-up customers can make only a single purchase a day for just M10.
In return, they will receive all the bundles they need. With a M10 purchase, users can get more services which include voice calls, data and unlimited SMSs.
Unlike other products RED Prepaid Bundles will exclusively offer Vodacom Customers 30 minutes of voice calls, unlimited SMSs and 10 megabytes of data — all packaged in just one M10 purchase.
Ramaisa explained that, one common feature with all Vodacom products and also with the recently launched RED Prepaid Bundles, is that it would be accessed and purchased through the *111# menu under “Purchases” and users can check their balances under the same menu in “Balances”.
“We want our customers to be able to access the service quickly, simply and reliably.”
Call it an integrated solution, but according to Ramaisa this would certainly save Vodacom’s loyal customers more than 50 percent in money terms, if compared to buying the voice, data and SMS bundles separately.
“We see this new offering as another leap in the right direction. Because we care for our clients and we would like them to maximise the use of our products.
“We have invented a product of its own kind that would cut prices across all the products we introduced in the past year.”
Ramaisa said as more people become interested in data use, Vodacom thought it wise to reduce the data price.
“We are proud to say RED Prepaid is a continuation of our efforts to put our customers first and at the heart of every business decision. Our aim is to make our products more affordable and in turn contribute to the development of the country.”
