Vodacom delay

MASERU – The announcement of the multi-million-maloti Vodacom Soccer Spectacular tournament has been delayed until next week.

Two weeks ago the Lesotho Times reported that the event would be launched last week. But the event was delayed last week and again this week.

The reason Vodacom has postponed the announcement for a second time is to accommodate the Minister of Communications, Science and Technology Mothejoa Metsing who is out of the country.

The 2009 edition of the Vodacom Soccer Spectacular is expected to be a blockbuster M1 million eight-team tournament. The prize money will also be a significant increase from the M400 000 that was pumped into last year’s tournament.

The deal is set to be the biggest in Lesotho football history.
