IMAGE consultant and therapist, Nthabiseng Mphana, will this Saturday host a style and health workshop for women at Kick4Life in preparation for the winter season.
According to Mphana, the workshop is meant to enlighten women on ways to remain healthy and looking fabulous during the winter season.
“During winter, many women’s skin is adversely affected by the cold weather conditions. Some end up with a rash or chapped skin to name a few challenges,” she said.
“During winter, a lot of women’s fashion choices are only influenced by the desire to get warm, forgetting that they still need to look fabulous. “So we will be equipping them with winter style tips.”
Mphana said the workshop was also meant to help women to avoid packing on the kilos during the winter season.
“A number of women work-out a lot in summer to keep in shape but when the cold season comes, they tend to eat more to try to keep warm. However, they end up forgetting that the desired look can only be maintained by discipline,” she said.
“As a result, some women won’t be able to fit in the clothes they were wearing prior to the winter season because they would have gained weight. Those are some of the topics we are going to address on Saturday.”
Other topics, she said, would also include winter skin care, makeup application tips, dressing for success in winter, exercising in the comfort of home and healthy eating in winter.
“I am working with two other ladies with expertise in similar fields,” she said, adding that they would also hold similar events on a seasonal basis.
