AS Father’s Day draws near, Sun International Lesotho has lined up a strip show to spice up the commemorations on 20 June at Lesotho Sun Hotel.

Dubbed “Men’s Night Out With Johnnie Walker”, it follows in the heels of a similar show specially designed for the ladies on 9 May 2015. The ladies were treated to the antics of Pulse Dancers, a Johannesburg-based troupe often referred to as the Chippendales of Africa. The all-male revue featured topless or bottomless waiters in a choreographed strip show and podium dances.

And much like last month’s show, the event will be held on the eve of the commemorations and will feature female entertainers.

According to Sun International Marketing Manager Refiloe Mohlotsane, the show will be catering for the men, as the ladies had their show last month.

“Since we asked the men to let their women come and have a night out on their own after promising them they would also be catered for, it is now their turn,” Mohlotsane said in an interview with the Weekender this week.

“The two shows are a bit different as the previous one was meant for younger women since stripping is regarded as taboo among older women.

“The upcoming show will cater for all men, so we are expecting the hall to be filled up to the rafters. The ladies night was fun but I think the upcoming one will be even better.”

She added that the hotel group was mulling holding the strip shows on a quarterly basis owing to the positive response they had received. However, Mohlotsane said the shows would be held under different themes.

She also noted that Sun International management had been made aware of the leakage of a photo during last month’s show that went viral and published in a weekly newspaper.

Mohlotsane assured revelers that a strict media policy would be enforced this time around to guarantee their privacy.

“We put our customers’ needs before everything else and are very sorry for the offence the leakage caused,” she said.

“We will be strict this time, and no one will be allowed to take pictures. Even the media will be given strict guidelines on which pictures to take, such as only taking the pictures of those on the stage alongside the strippers.

“A picture will only be published with the consent of the concerned person after an explanation of what it will be used for so that we keep our clientele happy.”

DJ Hally will once again entertain the crowd behind the decks, while admission for the show is M200. The amount will also pay for a braai meal and a double tot of Johnnie Walker Scotch whisky revelers will tuck into during the show.
