STANDARD Lesotho Bank (SLB) has officially launched the 2025 edition of its highly anticipated Transactional Campaign under the refreshed and vibrant tagline “Ha Monate Joang!”
The campaign, which began on 1 August and ends on 31 December 2025, is aimed at promoting digital payments, reducing reliance on physical cash, and rewarding customers for making smarter financial choices.
Over the five-month period, customers stand a chance to win a share of M300,000 in monthly cash prizes and, in the grand draw, one of two brand-new Toyota Starlets worth over M600,000.
According to SLB’s Head of Personal and Private Banking, Rethabile Motsoahae, the campaign is about more than just prizes.
He said it is a celebration of everyday customers who choose to bank smarter, whether they are sending money, swiping for groceries, or buying electricity from their phones, as these simple actions help drive Lesotho’s digital economy forward.
“We want to reward that behaviour in a meaningful way, and what better way than giving away cash and two brand-new cars,” Mr Motsoahae said.
To qualify for entry each month, customers must complete at least three qualifying transactions — one swipe or tap at any card machine or point-of-sale terminal, one Instant Money transfer, and one purchase of prepaid airtime or electricity using the Standard Lesotho Bank App, Internet Banking, or Mobile Banking.
Each transaction must be valued at M20 or more, and customers who transact more frequently improve their chances of winning. Only holders of Blue, Silver, or Gold transactional accounts in good standing with the bank are eligible to participate, and employees, along with their immediate family members, are excluded from the campaign.
Monthly winners will be selected through random draws and contacted directly, with their names being published on the bank’s social media platforms and in national newspapers. While customers can only win once in the monthly draws, they remain eligible for the grand prize in December when two lucky winners will each drive away in a Toyota Starlet worth about M300,000.
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, and participation in the campaign constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions. The promotion is governed by the laws of Lesotho.
“SLB views the Transactional Campaign as a reflection of its commitment to digital innovation, convenience, and safety. The bank is calling on all Basotho to embrace digital banking, transact with ease, and enjoy the exciting rewards that come with it — because truly, Ha Monate Joang? when your everyday transactions could win you a car.”
