MASERU — South African top comedian David Kau’s I Should Have Done These Jokes First rolls into Maseru next week.

A full-house is expected for Kau’s one-man show set for Maseru Sun next Thursday.

The award-winning comedian, 32, is coming to Lesotho thanks to Sun International, which runs the local hotel hosting the show.

“We are committed to bringing our people closer to their favourite entertainers and bringing something relaxing for the people here every quarter of the year,” Sun International’s Clix Salman told the Weekender.

He said they had chosen Kau not only because of his excellent performances but also because the audience in Lesotho can relate very well with him.

“Born in Kroonstad where the Sesotho language is widely spoken, I am sure the audience here can associate themselves better with Kau as a comedian who expresses his art in languages such as Sesotho,” Salman said.

Kau is one of South Africa’s leading stand-up comedians.

He started performing 10 years ago and has released on DVD performances like The Rainbow Nation Tour and I Did These Jokes First.

Kau is also co-producer of the very successful Blacks Only Comedy show brand that sells out every time to over 4 000 people a night in Johannesburg.

His talent has seen him touring around the world.
