IN a move to improve public awareness, Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) has capacitated the media on its contact centre services, providing them with firsthand experience of the organization’s operations.

RSL Manager: Contact Centre, ‘Mamphotleng Mahao, explained that the media tour was part of a broader strategy to enhance the media’s understanding of RSL’s services.

“This media tour forms part of a broader strategy to provide the media with firsthand experience of the services offered by RSL, enhancing their understanding of the organization’s operations,” Ms Mahao said.

Ms Mahao also noted that most of RSL’s services were now digitized to enhance convenience for customers.

The organization currently has three digital service centres located in Maseru, Leribe, and Mohale’s Hoek to serve the northern and southern regions of the country.

In a separate event, the RSL recognized six taxpayers for their compliance with tax obligations in the fourth quarter of the 2024/25 financial year.

RSL Commissioner of Client Services and Head of Customs, Rakokoana Makoa, presented awards to Matseliso Mokuoane of Mahlakapese Holdings, Bilal Noormahomed of Tasty Food Packers, ‘Mabakoena Motsoari of Night Logistics, Matlali Libe Regmon, and Matseliso Polile of Angypol Clearing and Logistics for timely filing and payment of taxes.

Additionally, the Agents of Foreign Firms Association of Lesotho (AFFAL) received an award in the influencer category.

“We are grateful to these taxpayers for their compliance and honouring their tax obligations. It is important for every business and individual to pay tax and contribute to the economic growth of the country,” Mr Makoa said.

Bilal Noor, speaking on behalf of the recognized taxpayers, expressed gratitude to RSL for the recognition and commended the organization for its positive changes and improvements.
