SOUTH African poet, Tshediso Seroki is set to perform at the second edition of the Mora-Mobu Poetry session set for the Maqalika Dam beach party site on 16 March 2019.
The poetry session is a partnership between entertainment outfit Petsoa-Majoeng Arts and Entertainment and Thabo Marebole.
Performing alongside, Tshediso, will be other local poets such as Women of the well, Queen Mo, Lerato Majara, Mighty Clan, Art Beat, Tumelo Matšela, Lungile and the host of the session Thabo.
Other performers at the event will include Joseph Hairy and the Accanine while DJs El Patel and Spargheti will share an hour set.
Marebole told the Weekender that the aim of the session is to create a sacred space for arts and artistes as well as platform where they can all come together to inspire and learn from one other.
“We host the sessions annually to give artistes, especially poets, a chance to showcase their talent,” Marebole said.
He said even though this year’s edition would not be too different from the debut session, they aspire to make the event the biggest arts gathering which will be followed ardently even by people from other countries.
“This is mainly to try and attract artistes to the country rather than seek ways to present our work only when we are across the borders,” Marebole said
Marebole said apart from the performances, there will be other activities such as boat riding and face paintings among others.
