THE second edition of the Nala Project was held on Sunday with artists and crafters showcasing their various talents and wares respectively at Sefikeng in Maseru.

The Nala Project is a monthly community development initiative founded for the purpose of bringing people together to interact through shopping, dining and entertainment in one place.

Artists such as Mookho, OG S’Killz, Ragga Vybz and Qekha as well as disc spinners, DJ Mosh and Da Starr, entertained the crowd. Apart from sampling the music, revelers were also able to walk around and check out various handicrafts exhibited in the stalls such as leather products, jewelry, traditional attire and chairs made from used car tyres among others.

According to one of the event’s organizers, Ma-Lord Mefane, the second edition was also meant to celebrate the life of the late renowned photographer and musician, Hlompho Letsielo, who was also known by the stage name, Soul of Wit.

“Hlompho was a humble and gifted Mosotho child who passed away around this time last year, and we are taking this opportunity to remember the fallen soldier,” said Mefane while addressing the gathering.

“We also have some of his work on display at the stalls which can be bought to support his family. We thank you all for showing this great support to local artistes and we hope to see once again next month.”
