HOME brewed entertainment outfit, Mindset Music, in collaboration with the Center for Accounting Studies (CAS) student representative committee, will host the Miss CAS 2014 pageant on Saturday at the institution’s hall.

Mindset Music artistes have represented Lesotho in such countries as Botswana and Swaziland.

The outfit is best known for hosting annual shows like Spring Fiesta and the Last Sunday Session, and also recently played host to Swazi disc spinner DJ Peace in his album launch in Litaleng.
The pageant, which is billed as one of the best shows the institution has had, is also meant to officially welcome first year students to CAS.
To spice up the show, there will be performances by rappers, Juvenile, Mega-Hertz and Axo-Mind, while local heavyweights like Mekonko, Dallas T, Bootz, Khebza, Razor Da Soul and Mindset’s Hunky D will deejay. There will also be special appearances by Liyah and Linkeng Wickedlink.

Pageant organiser and Director of Queen of Lesotho pageants, Limakatso Makutle said the pageant industry is slowly but surely gaining the recognition and support it deserves.
“Although financial sponsorship is still our main problem, when it comes to pageants, we are somehow being recognized by different stakeholders and the community is showing support,” Makutle said.
Parents, Makutle said, have started to show a lot of support to their daughters who enter pageants, which is a positive development.

“We urge everyone to join in as it is through pageants that our country can be marketed to other nations as the beauty queens serve as ambassadors,” she said.
