Matter of fact

In Local News, News
January 11, 2012

IN OUR last issue of the Lesotho Times we published a letter written by one Molepe alleging that prominent lawyer Haae Phoofolo had served time in prison after he was convicted of theft and fraud while serving as deputy governor of the Central Bank of Lesotho.

This is not correct.

Mr Phoofolo was convicted and jailed for violation of exchange control regulations.

We wish to apologise to Mr Phoofolo for the embarrassment the publication of the letter might have caused.
