The 9 May 2015 show, which is dubbed Ladies Entertainment Night, will be the first of its kind in Maseru and held on the eve of Mother’s Day.
Often referred to as the Chippendales of Africa, Pulse Dancers is a Johannesburg-based troupe which performs in an all-male revue show. The group performs as topless or bottomless waiters in choreographed strip shows, trained podium dances at ladies night events and bachelorette parties.
Said Sun International Marketing Manager Refiloe Mohlotsane: “We are trying to add a bit of flavour to the annual Mother’s Day celebrations by bringing professional strippers to Maseru to entertain the ladies.
“Pulse Dancers are professional and raunchy strip dancers. They offer hilarious interactive routines that get the girls involved and play a number of games to get the ladies to laugh and get warmed up for the show.
“We believe there is nothing wrong about a strip show since it is a form of entertainment common in other countries, just like they do at bachelor/bachelorette parties.”
“Besides, she added, “men are always out on their own, so this will be the ladies’ turn to enjoy the night while men baby-sit at home for a change.”
The main Mother’s Day event, however, will not have a strip show since its meant to cater for all tastes.
Mohlotsane said drinks would be sold at a discount since the event will be sponsored by 4thStreetWine. She added that DJ Hally will be behind the decks as “he has this special sense of humour that entertains ladies”.
“Since the strip show is specially designed for the ladies, we will also have female strippers for men on 20 June, which is Father’s Day eve to balance the score,” said Mohlotsane.
