A POLICE manhunt is underway for five suspects after a cash-in-transit vehicle was robbed of M123 000 soon after collecting money from Shoprite supermarket chain’s Sefika branch on 1 August 2016.
According to police deputy spokesperson, Senior Inspector Lerato Motseki, two suspects were already in custody, while five others were still at large.
“Police arrested two men on 10 August aged 55 and 56 from Moshoeshoe II and Motsemocha respectively, in connection with this crime. Without revealing too much of ongoing investigations, it is important I emphasise the two men arrested may not have been at the scene of the crime but were involved in the planning,” Senior Inspector Motseki said.
She also called on the public to assist the police with any information on the whereabouts of the five suspects.
